Institute for Development Innovation
We help leaders design smarter welfare programs that truly deliver for the poorest 300 Mn Indians
The Problem
Indian states collectively spend over $100 Bn each year on their six largest welfare programs.
Yet, many programs underperform on both equity and effectiveness.
Our Solution
We help leaders adopt more effective programs by offering:
-
A clear menu of high-impact alternatives, which are both effective and politically viable
-
Proof of popular appeal through polling data, successful case studies and beneficiary reach maps
-
Hands-on support to tailor and adopt them
Our Progress
We're working in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
Our early work has received keen interest and buy-in from key policy stakeholders
